Intro to Calm Abiding Meditation

The practice of Calm Abiding Meditation, a sitting meditation practice, helps to develop more peace of mind using the breath as an anchor for mental activity. We become aware of our very active minds, develop patience with the way our thoughts flow, and use mindfulness and awareness to be more fully present for the moment. By the end of this eight week class, participants should have the basic tools to make meditation a part of their daily life.
